Warranty and Complaints

Brynje offers a 5-year warranty on production and material defects. If defects occur due to production errors, they will, if possible, be repaired or replaced.
 
  • If the defect cannot be repaired, Brynje will replace the product with a new one. You then agree that Brynje will recycle the damaged product.
     
  • If the product is discontinued from our range, you may choose a product of equivalent value to the damaged product. The original price of the damaged product may differ from the products in the online store because new versions may have been introduced.
     

The warranty covers:

  • Production defects in fabric.
  • Production defects in seams.
  • Production defects in zippers and sliders.
  • Excessive shrinkage that makes the product unusable.
  • Delamination of membrane (the bonding between outer fabric and membrane coming apart).
  • Tape loosening on shell garments.
  • Defects in the membrane of shell garments.

 

The warranty does NOT cover:

  • Normal wear and tear such as pilling, tears/friction from external impact, natural fading or material degradation. Pilling does not reduce the garment’s performance.
  • Damage caused by accidents, negligence, or misuse.
  • Incorrect washing contrary to the care instructions on the product.
  • Poor maintenance.
  • Shrinkage of less than 10% of the product’s original size.
  • Worn-out products, regardless of age.
     

Issues with the product upon delivery? Contact us promptly!

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase, and your items should be free of defects upon delivery. If an item is defective or something went wrong during delivery or transport, please contact us quickly - preferably on the day of arrival.

 

What to do if there is a problem with your product:
 

  • Take three photos of the product, including a photo of the label. Fill out this complaint form and print it.
     
  • Send the complaint form and photos to kundeservice@brynje.no. Please also describe in words what is wrong.
     
  • The complaint must be approved by Brynje. We will assist you as quickly as possible and tell you what to do with the item!
    If the warranty claim is approved, we will first attempt to repair the product. If repair is not possible, we will send you a new product. Individual assessment of the product’s condition and age is crucial for determining compensation.
     
  • If you take measures on your own to fix the defect beyond what has been agreed with Brynje, we will not cover those expenses.
     
  • Wash the product before sending it to us! If we ask you to send the product to us, you must ensure it is freshly washed. If the product is not washed according to our instructions, we reserve the right to charge NOK 400 for washing.
