Arctic Double - wool baselayer with mesh

It took us 5 years to test and develop the Arctic series with the quality and functionality we wanted. Close collaboration with many expeditions to the coldest places on Earth was necessary. Arctic was launched in 1997, and in the same year, the products won the Norwegian Textile Industry’s Innovation prize. Since then, the products have been awarded “best in test” many times.

The Arctic garments are extremely warm and functional, suitable for both cold expeditions and many different outdoor activities. They are also perfect as cozy indoor wear when the weather is cold. The garments consist of two layers: mesh on the inside and warm merino wool on the outside. The dual-layer construction with a Super Thermo mesh interior and a soft merino wool exterior provides an impressive warmth-to-weight ratio. The inside stays dry due to few contact points with the skin and polycolon yarn that absorbs virtually no moisture. At the same time, the mesh cells trap a lot of warm air, which is the secret to the superb insulating performance. During high activity, the mesh wicks moisture away from the body. The wet-wool-feeling disappears. The wool absorbs and evaporates the moisture further out, forming an insulating layer over the mesh cells. Sizes: The garments come in a regular fit and are unisex unless otherwise specified. Tops have a long cut, and the boxers run large.
