In March 2020, Brynje of Norway was selected as the supplier of shell clothing for the employees at the Norwegian Polar Institute.

This is how the reasoning from the Polar Institute read:

"Brynje delivers products of very high quality that meet our preferences very well. Thoughtful and functional solutions for all garments make them preferable as a supplier to us."

- We look forward to collaborating with the Norwegian Polar Institute,” says Sales Manager Anders Ribbing Simensen at Brynje. For a small family business like Brynje, such an agreement means a great deal. It's important for us to collaborate with the right partners. Brynje’s goal is not to become largest possible. We want to preserve nature and the environment together with conscious customers and partners. We make high quality clothes so they last as long as possible. The rest is up to you. Wear the clothes for a long time, follow the washing instructions and repair. That's good, both for nature and the wallet, says Ribbing Simensen.

The Norwegian Polar Institute is a directorate under the Ministry of Climate and Environment that provides scientific knowledge and advice to Norwegian authorities regarding the Arctic and Antarctica. The institute operates research stations, conducts expeditions, and serves as the environmental authority for Bouvet Island and Norwegian activities in Antarctica.
