Repair: How to Replace Gaiter Elastic
Fix small things yourself! It’s faster, cheaper, and more environmentally friendly than sending the clothes to us. In this repair video, you’ll see how to replace the gaiter elastic on an inner gaiter of a shell pant.
In short – here’s how to do it
- Make two small loops on each side of the gaiter. Small loops make it easy to remove the elastics when you don’t need them, and they make replacements easier.
- Cut the gaiter elastic into four equal lengths.
- Make four large loops. Thread hooks onto two of the loops.
- Thread the large loops into the small loops.
