Thomas Lone - Norways youngest on Seven Summits

Thomas Lone has completed several expeditions around the world despite his young age. He reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 16, 2019. In January 2020, he became Norway’s youngest (24 years old) to complete The Seven Summits.

After completing his military service, Thomas began climbing high mountains. After Kilimanjaro, he went on to climb Aconcagua, Elbrus, and Mt Blanc, among others. After a long and cold ascent of Denali in 2018, he finally felt ready to try the highest of them all, Mt. Everest. With his ascent of Mt. Vinson in Antarctica on January 5th 2020, he became Norway’s youngest on The Seven Summits.

In summer 2023, Thomas and Andreas Ebbesen explored the worlds highest unclimbed peak, Muchu Chhish (7453m) and did a speed riding descent from 5500m on skies. The mountain is still undefeted.

In addition to his mountain adventures, Thomas has been a full-time student at NTNU and MIT, and is soon to complete a master’s degree in Marine Technology. He gives lectures about his adventures both in Norway and abroad. In the years to come, he hopes to focus more on longer ski trips, with the poles as the ultimate goal. He has several gold medals from Norwegian kite championships and wishes to bring this expertise into future expeditions.
