Brynje of Norway is a small family-owned and run business with a clear goal - to provide clothing that enables great experiences in nature without causing harm to it. Since 1887, we have been renowned for quality, functionality and durability. Historically, few garments have kept adventurers as warm, dry and safe. When Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary became the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 1953, they did so wearing Brynje cotton mesh base layers! In 1994, our products were successfully tested in Antarctic conditions during the audacious Unarmed To The South Pole expedition, providing proof of concept of our fully synthetic line. Today, Brynje products are highly esteemed by active people worldwide. Our collections cater to all genders and ages, as well as most activities and climates.
