Kristin Harila and the world's 14 mountains over 8000 meters

Kristin Harila almost managed to set a world record and climb all 14 of the world's mountains over 8,000 meters in one season. The record was not possible to achieve because she did not get permission from China to climb the last two peaks. But Kristin is not giving up on her dream: She will try again in 2023!

So far Kristin Harila has climbed 12 of the worlds 14 mountains above 8000 metres:

  1. Annapurna, 8091 m
  2. Dhaulagiri, 8167 m
  3. Kanchenjunga, 8586 m
  4. Mt. Everest, 8849 m
  5. Lhotse, 8516 m
  6. Makalu, 8485 m
  7. Nanga Parbat, 8125 m
  8. K2, 8611 m
  9. Broad Peak, 8051 m
  10. Gasherbrum I, 8080 m
  11. Gasherbrum II, 8034 m
