Brynje Expedition shell wear is primarily designed for use in cool, cold and changeable weather conditions. We make high quality clothes so they last as long as possible. The rest is up to you. Wear the clothes for a long time, follow the washing instructions and repair. That's good, both for nature and the wallet.
Brynje of Norway is a family-owned clothing company from Larvik, world-renowned for quality, functionality and durability since 1887. The first mesh shirt in history was invented by Henrik Brun in 1921. The "Brynje shirt" was further developed in collaboration with the Norwegian armed forces. Over the years, Brynje mesh has been used on expeditions to the world's most inhospitable places. When Hillary and Tenzing became the first humans to ascend Mt. Everest in 1953, they wore Brynje mesh next to their skin. Read the Brynje story
